Grandfathers Mansion

When I was little I remember going to Silver Dollar City, and when my parents showed us "Grandfathers Mansion" I assumed they meant that Grandpa built it. Only I thought that "Grandfathers Mansion" was actually the tree stair case that led up the Huck Finns...something or other. It's across from the exit of Grandfathers Mansion.
   For Years I thought that Grandpa built that big tree. I even remember telling my friends that my Grandpa helped build Silver Dollar City. It made sense to me anyway. I mean, Grandpa can make ANYTHING. :)

Joseph is serving in Cedar City and SUU campus. He loves the work and is so happy to be there. His trainer is a former AP and has been out for 20 months. He is also from Sweden. Joseph really is happy. I don't think I have ever seen this much enthusiasm form him. It's great! His address for the rest of his mission is;

Joseph leaves on Wed. morning

We decided Joseph needed one more bonfire out at grandpas before he leaves, so Monday evening we are having a bonfire to say goodbye to Joseph. We would love to see any and all that can make it. Bring your own food. Hope to see you all there. He is being set apart after church on Sunday so you can call him Elder on Monday!

The Rones

Mark is back in school, today was the first day of this semester. He works full time, does part time school, and is an assistant scout master. He is busy durring the school year, and we don't see a lot of him. But he works really hard and still gets good grades and plays with the kids and takes me on dates. He is amazing, I'm so proud of him.
For me, other then being Mom, I am keeping busy. I'm learning how to transfer pictures onto just about any surface. After I get some practice I'm going to do some old family Photos. Grandma sent me a few, I'm going to do one of Great Grandma and Grandpa Nickle. (as well as others)
This is my first attempt, just used a picture I already had. This is the picture I used to make Danton's big motorcycle pillow for christmas.
Now it's hanging in his room. As soon as I get more ink I'm going to be doing this a lot. It's fun.

Lydia has taken the challenge from the Stake Primary presidency to read the book of Mormon this year, so far she has kept up (and exceeded) her goal to read a chapter every day. I have to read to her since she cant really read yet, but we read untill she is done listening (or my voice is tired, and usually I give up first) I'm glad she was born first. She is such a good example for Danton and Arissa. Choosing the Right is so important to her, and I've seen that rub off on Danton too.

Danton is FINALLY wanting to be potty trained (almost 3 years old) That hasbeen a trial, but he is doing good now. He is all boy, loves motorcycles, race cars, trucks, tractors, football, you name it. He also loves music. He is constantly asking me to pull out my instruments. We went to Great Grandmas last week and it was too cold to play on Grandpas tractors, and that was just about too much for him to handle.

Arissa is 8 months old, and she tries to get right in there and play with Lydia and Danton, especially when they are running in circles in the living room, she litterally crawls to the middle and lets them run around her and she cracks up. She is pretty quiet (well at least compared to her siblings). She has the cheesiest grin, and a loud laugh (which is reserved mostly for Lydia and Danton) She is pretty mild, unless she is teething.

I hear funny stories every day from Danton and Lydia, they have great imaginations. Can't wait for Spring so I can send them out side more often to burn off their ridiculous amounts of energy. We have good days and bad days, but I'd say over all I have the best family I could ever ask for.
