RE: Auction Money

Ok, I have created a "Distribution Group" and each of you should have received an email with instructions. The purpose of this group is primarily to provide us a place where we can post files that you wouldn't otherwise post to the blog. For example, we can post a document listing everyone's Auction purchases and their total. It is a private group, so only blog members can view the information there.

A distribution group, by nature, is used for mass-mailing so if there is an announcement that we need to get out to everybody (like Reunion news or other announcements that we want to make sure don't get missed...) they can be sent to the distribution group. Any message sent to the group addrress will get sent to every member of the group, so let's make sure it ONLY gets used for significant and important announcements that everybody needs to get. Send me a personal message, or just call, if you need help with the group. I think it will be a valuable addition to the Blog's resources.

Auction money

I need to know how much I owe from the auction and who in the world I pay.

the weekend with Lilly

Lilly came to stay at my house Friday night so everyone could go to the temple Saturday. It was a lot of fun. We have an extra bed right now so we set it up in Lydia's room for a sleep over. Lydia was SOOO excited. Saturday they just played all morning. Then I let them go play out side. I promised to take them to the park later, but I had a few things to do first.
Lydia wouldn't take a nap, and Danton was sleeping and Lilly wanted to sleep so I couldn't just keep her in her room and let her cry her self to sleep....and when I say cry I mean scream. I didnt want her to wake up Danton. And I wasnt' about to let her watch a movie to take a nap, not when she was being that cranky. So I foudn my self doing something all too familiar. I laid down with her on my bed and held her down cause she was being cranky. She kept yelling at me to let her go adn I told her she coudl either take a nap quietly on her bed or I would hold her ther till she fell asleep. Can you guess which one she choose? It only took about 10 mins for her to fall asleep. Funnest 10 mins of my life. :) So then I moved her to her bed. And she didn't sleep long.
We went to the park later and we took Danton. They all hasd a lot fo fun. I laid Danton down on a blanket and she just laid on his side and watched all the kids play. Since Lydia didnt' get a good nap she was real peachy when it came time to leave.
On our way to the park one of teh stop lights turned yellow so I stoped. Lilly siad
" It's yellow"
"yeah, I know. green means go, yellow means stop if you can because the light will be red soon"
slight pause "Joseph goes fast on yellow"
I just started laughing. I think I confused her when I stoped at a yellow light
Keith and Paula came over for dinner and then we had Lydia's Potty Party.
IT wasnt much of a "party" we just ate cake. We wanted to throw her a party cause she did so well with her potty training. she hasn't worn a diaper in 2 months, not for anything. All we did was eat cake, BUT the cake was in teh shape of a toilet. plunger and all. :)
Lilly pulled Keith and Paula out of the door later after cake. She had been ready to go home for a while. But Lydia wanted Lilly to sleep in the bed again in her room when she went to bed last night. She had a lot of fun.

phone charger

Someone left a phone charger at my house. It was plugged into the East wall in my kitchen, (by the windows) If you know who it belongs to let me know and I'll mail it back. Love you guys and miss all of you. The reunion was wonderful! I'm working on the grandma lesson but the greatest lesson was the love and unity we all felt as an eternal family.

A Nikon Moment

OK ok I know it's suposed to be a kodak moment...but I'm extreemly biast. Not to mention my camera is a Nikon. But thats besides the point.

Mostly what I liked best about this reunion was watching the little cousins play together. Garry, Mikey, and David played on that slide FOREVER. They kept going down at the same time and they were all giggeling and having a hay day. Mikey still talks about it. Those boys are great cousins and second cousins.

reunion

Hyrum and Rachel

Garry, Garry, Lydia and David

Mark, Lydia, Hunter

Lydia

well I tried to find some good pics for Nickle but all the pictures from my camera are mainly just of Lyida. But I'm sure that Rissy, Christine, and Ann all got some good ones. :)
The whole weekend was so awesome. Between all the fun activites that were planned, the perfect weather, visiting with everyone, and getting to know cousins better, and meeting new cousins. I can't wait for the next one in 5 years.
I loved watching the Relay race. we definitely need pictures of that on here. Loved the grandma lesson, and the auction. I wish it was earlier cause I wanted to stay for all of it. Uncle Keith did a great job. Everyone's comments were so funny, and watching who out bid who. I was surprised how much it brought in. For those of you who weren't there, there was candy that went for $15. nothing went cheap. But I guess that shouldn't be too surprising with the candy, this is the Adams family after all. :)
so fun, we missed everyone that wasn't there.

don't forget about me

hey, this is nickle. just wanted to say that i am feeling left out here in afghanistan. everyone needs to post more so i dont' feel so out of the loop.

in case you are wondering, everything out here is going fine. i guess someone is hearing ya'll when you pray for me. i feel like i am being looked after. there are crazy moments here, but mostly it is just boring.

i wish that i could have been at the reunion. i would like to have given everyone a hard time. but knowing this family, i am sure someone else picked on everybody that i couldn't.

well, like i said, write a bit more so i am not so lost. and if you want to know what you can do to support me, the biggest thing would be to look out for my girls. (all of them... sisters, mamma, grandmas... but especially my beautiful wife and princess gentry).... and then a package would come in at a distant second.

love ya'll

The Reunion

I had a great time at the reunion! It was so fun to see everyone and be all together. I think that was my favorite, just sitting around being able to chat with cousins I hadn't seen in a long time. The games were fun too, but I enjoyed the chatting.

Hoorays to Aunt Terri for all of her hard work! I can't imagine putting all of that together, and she did it splendidly. Thanks so much Aunt Terri! And thanks to everyone else who put so much time and effort into making the reunion fun and memorable. Many man hours went into this reunion. Thank you grandma for hosting! (And, of course, for giving birth to such wonderful children...:))

It was sad to say good bye to everyone, and I am looking forward to the next reunion. I'm also looking for an excuse to go up to Salt Lake and hang out with all of the Goldhardts sometime....but that's beside the point. :)

*I hereby vow to write on the Adams Family Blog more. So let it be written.
