I have graduated from my bow hunter education class it was suppose to be really hard...and I think I had a worst time graduating from 6th grade.

Careful of what you wish for....

This isn't very interesting to most of you but on the 24th, a friend and I went to an outdoor archery range in the high mountains around Pocatello. It was his first time shooting this year and hadn't sighted in his bow. I was sighted in up to 40 yards. Having patience with him because he's hearing impaired, I shot at 20 yards (which is a short distance in archery terms). I wasn't trying very hard and was practicing for when I would need to make a difficult shot. My first few arrows were in a group about 2 inches wide. My next group was in about a group the size of a quarter and then it happened about the third or fourth round I heard the most delightful and dreaded sound an archer wants to hear, the sound of metal, carbon and plastic grinding together. I made sure the coast was clear and ran up and there it was a drilled nock point. Now, in other words. I almost had a robin hooded arrow, one arrow inside the other. It was something that I wish I could have done but wasn't necessary to have accomplished. It can get kind of expensive. So be careful what you wish for it just might come true.

Toxic Pancakes

I just got a very intresting email forward. It was saying that we need to make sure not to use our outdated pancake mixes because the mold that grows on them is toxic and could even kill you. So since you are my family I just thought that I would warn you to check your pancake mixes. And I am sure most of us buy in bulk so it is very likely some of us have outdated pancake mix.

bagpipes

Ok, I have my drones painted for my bagpipes. (Thoes are the pipes that stick out of the top) I have a before and after picture so you can see that they really are PVC, but they sure don't look like it. The pictures don't look that great casue we don't have a digital camera. I'm using my web cam.

When it rains, it sprinkles.

Idaho people are funny. Sometimes I forget that I live in a Desert, and they dont often get a lot of rain here. (Espically cause this year thay have gotten way more then usual...which is not very much) IT's been raining a lot for Idaho the last couple weeks, and they have started telling people what to do when they hear thunder or see lightening. I get a kick out of hearing them say "In a thunder storm you need to stay inside. Avoid tall trees and open fields. If you are in the water find shelter imeadately. You dont want to get caught in the water in a thunder storm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to get struck by lightening" (seriously that is almost word for word what they said on the news this morning. An Idaho rain storm is a Missouri light rain. My neighbor though it was super cool the other day how big the rain drops were. They were biggenough that you could feel them when they hit you, not like the usual..."Oh, I think I might be getting wet...is it raining?" Sometimes I hear what they say and I think "You can't be serious" Then I realize, I'm in Idaho.
I love every, enjoy it when it rains.

Just a quick note about scout camp. Three of our handsome (and sometimes stinky) boys are at scout camp this week. I got to spend the first day with them (that's the best day to spend cause they haven't had a chance to get quite so stinky) and they seemed to be having a lot of fun. Dale told me that he wanted to get involved with "the order of the arrow" and with "tribe of Lone Bear", but when it came time to go to the camp fire program for "tribe of Lone Bear", he didn't want to go. When we got back from the camp fire program brother Allen Bird told Dale and Joseph that they had been called out to be a brave and a foxman at the campfire. They thought that was cool and hot footed it the 1/4 mile up hill to the council ring to get their calls and find out what they needed to do. Of course it was all a hoax, but they were good sports about it.

Jayse is doing the mile swim. He has to get to the pool by 6:00am and swim 32 laps by the time scout camp is over. He is a really good swimmer. I watched him take his swim test and he was a full lap ahead of all the other boys by the time they had finished only 4 laps. I guess if he gets called out for "tribe of Lone Bear" we could give him an indian name like "swift fish"

Hidey Ho everyone... Garry finally joined in on the fun. Isn't this picture of Baby Garry and Mikey cute? They are in their blessing outfits that Mom Adams made. I haven't read everyone's postings yet, but this is going to be super fun. Sheri mostly keeps up on what's going on around here, and keeps me informed about how everything is "back at the farm." You'll probably hear from her more than me, but who knows, maybe I'll have a few spare minutes in between viruses and I'll post a comment. I love you, Adams Family. Enjoy the Blogging...!

Grandma Says...

Hay, this is fun!!!! Grandpa and I just got back from St. Louis Sat night (the 10th) and I tried to use my super computer skills to get on then but it took me a day or two to figure it out. We had our family D&D last night (that's desert and devotional) We usually have more desert than devotional. I love it that so many of you are still near enough to come over. Those of you here know about Grandpa gashing the top of his head open. (with a crow-bar!) He is doing fine and is still just as hard headed as ever. I am the luckiest grandma in the entire world because I have the best, most beautiful, most perfect grandchildren in the entire universe.

So Justin and I have a really good idea for a family home evening activity, and lesson. We are going to call it our count your many blessing family home evening. We are going to have a lesson on gratitude, and then for our activity we are going to take pictures of all the things we love. For example, our new car, my pint of Frozen chocolate frozen andy's custard, our full cupboards, our house, the church, etc. Then for our activity next week or when we get our photos back we are going to scrapbook our pictures and put them in this years album. We will do this every so often (annually) and watch how we change. Already it has got me thinking of all the things I want to take a picture of tomorrow. This picture will top them all.
Just thought I would share that idea with everyone.

I tried sending a comment the other day, in fact I was the first one on here but I guess I just set up a chapman family blog instead. OOps.

The Chapman family is doing great. Nothing real exciting is going on. Justin works, I stay at home and take care of our very energetic, cute little boy. David, is learning a lot. (except for the meaning of NO) He says please and thank you in sign language, and he recently said his first words (besides mama and daddy). It was dank o, or Thank you. I am one very proud mama. And that is the most exciting thing to tell everyone so Ill see ya. Oh I have pictures from the princess tea party at Grandma's. If I can figure it out I will post them on the blog.

If your wondering about my user name, for thoes of you who don't know about my obsession for pogo balls, Ever since i was like 10 I asked for a pogo ball every year for my birthday and christmas. I never got one cause mom didnt think I woudl ever use it. Well when I was like 17 or 18 mom actually looked for one and couldnt find one anywhere.
Several months ago I got a lettle from Keith telling me in story form that he found pogo balls in tiawan, and he didnt tell me but he sent me one for my birthday, and i got it a week ago, along with a bunch of other random stuff. It's fun I keep it in my living room and I jump on it for a little almost every day. What can i say, small random things bring me joy. :)

Some stuff about us

Hi guys! Baby Garry has had a cold this week so he's been really grouchy. He also got shots on Monday and that didn't help any. We just got back from our trip to Missouri and it was super fun. We got lots of cute pictures of baby Mikey and baby Garry together. Sometimes Garry would try to eat Mikey though...you know, stuff like grabbing his fist and sticking it in his mouth, or just putting his mouth to Mikey's head. So Rissy, sorry my baby kept trying to snack on your baby. In August when we come out for Keith's homecoming I'm sure your baby will be trying to eat mine. Then we'll be even. I'm sure it's just their way of showing friendship. "Look! I'm licking your head! We're BEST FRIENDS!!!"

Garry is still working at Redrock Computers and he loves it. We also went to get his eyes examined this week and we're gonna buy him some new glasses. They are super cool stretchy titanium ones. And, the best part, they come with two earpieces. (He misses having two earpieces on his glasses.) They're expensive, so he'd better get at least 10 years of good service out of them.

My nephew Tannon is staying with us this week while my Mom goes to girls camp. Poor kid. I am very boring. (Nancyann could tell you how very true that statement is. She came last summer while I was pregnant, I was even MORE boring then. Boring and barfing. Two very undesirable qualities.)

Well, it's been fun writing this. I think I'll go now and spend the evening coveting Sarah's super cool bagpipes.

livin' in Idaho

So Idaho is fun. We miss seeing everyone in MO though. We livein a great apt complex, kinda small, but it's right next to the church...no really, it takes 30 sec to walk inside the building. And it's cool cause about 1/2 the families here are in the ward. That makes walking out to check your mail kinda fun. Mark is fixing printers and I just finished the worst job ever, babysitting. I hated it but it's over as of yesterday. Lets give a shout, "HORAY". Seriously that is the last time I do that. So now I get to chill out till Nance gets here. Oh and A lot of you dont know, but I am in The Music Man here. We just started rehearsals, it's way super fun. It's been 4 years since i have preformed on stage, so even though I'm just chorus and have no lines I'm having fun. I'm always up to something new, and this time around I'm in the process of making bagpipes. Yep that's right you heard me bagpipes...out of PVC pipe. They are going to look cool and I'm going ot try and bring them to MO in Aug when we come. When I get them doen I'll post a picture.
-Oh Shannell, I didn't know you were going to BYU-I this fall. I'm just a little over an hour away, and I still have friend up there so don't be suprised if I show up at your door sometime...I did it to Terriann...it was fun. And you are welcome to come visit any time you want, but Poky's not all that intreasting.

so... hey, whats goin on? tell me your life story. come on it'll be fun. alright i'll tell you mine. one day i was born. i lived in a little house in the middle of no where with one older sister. i grew up there until i moved with my family to another house for a couple of years, and then we moved to another house. after a year maybe less, the last of 8 kids were now in my family. yeah, that's a lot i know. but hey, it's always fun. we like to play hide-n-go-seek in the dark, no bears are out tonight, states, pit, and kick ball in a field that is full of cow poop so we end up really colorful and stinky when we are done playing. it's a lot of fun. maybe, if you wanted to, you could like come out and enjoy the thrill with us sometime. haha. ok, so now my older sister is married. weird still, and i'm about ready to go to BYU-I this fall. i hope my roomates like to play hide-n-go-seek in the dark. i don't know what i'm gonna do if they don't. eeks!! alright, so if you want you could send me some gifts, money, food, whatever you think would benefit me during my stay in the great state of Idaho. well, that's pretty much my life. tell me slash all of the other people who will be reading the post about your life. come on it'll be so much fun! well, get started and i'll go to bed and read it tomorrow. love you all a ton! peace out. adios
