Idaho is sooo much cooler right now than before we left.

Mark and I were in MO for a week last week. It was great. The perfect vacation. We didnt have anything planned except for teh family stuff the first weekend, so we just decided what we wanted to do every day. It was great. We had a hassle on the way back with my banjo and luggage being over weight. We rearranged things around and didnt think about the new rules , no liquid, no gel, no paste, no cream. Cause My banjo was my carry on, but the air lines wouldnt let me do that, (WHich I was no not happy about handing it over to someone else) And we took our bag with our bathroom stuff. needless to say we had to make a wal Mart stop before we went home, they threw away all our bathroom stuff. Oh well. We'll only make that mistake once.

Sunday I felt the baby move for the first time. It was so cool. I have felt it a little since then but Sunday was the strongest cause I was holding my sleeping nefew who was sitting on my belly, and I felt a push aginst him. And We have our ultra sound On Wednesday, so as soon as we find out what we are having I'll let everyone know.

The Lazy Days of Summer!

There is nothing lazy about the days of summer! I think everyone is up to their ears in trying to get ready for school, weddings and such. It will be nice when September gets here and things slow down a bit. Grandpa has been building his barn and it keeps looking more and more like a barn everyday. I wish I had a camera to take a picture of it but I wouldn't know how to post it even if I had one. He was out brush-hoging last week and came in with a big cut just under his eye where a limb had smacked him. He was all bloody and looked pretty rough. I need to get some sports protective equipment for him to ware when he is on the tracter. It is so good to have Keith home again and Nickle will be here for two weeks. (the two weeks we will be in Utah!) We are looking forward to having all of the family here Sunday. Wish that Terri's family could be here also. Love to all, Grandma

LETS GET MORE FAMILY

Hey everyone,
I love the family blog but I have to say it seems as though it is the same people who are always comminting or blogging. I love hearing from all of you and dont want you to stop by any means but why dont we each get one more person from our wonderful family to start joining in. So I challenge each of you to have had one person make at least one blog before next Sunday.
Love you all
Marie

Aug. '06 Grandma lesson

Hey Guys, I know everyone gets these Grandma lessons in an email, but I like the idea of being able to comment about the post on the blog. I though by posting it on our family blog anyone can make comments that we can all share.

Sorry Grandma, I didn't ask permission first. If you don't like the idea, you can reprimand me later:)

Dear practically perfect and absolutely adored grandchildren, Do you remember the sand box in my back yard? It has been there for years and most of you have spent many hours playing there. I have a ton of snap shots of you building roads, sand castles, or burying treasures in that old sand box. It has brought much joy into my life as I have watched my precious grandchildren having fun in my back yard.

It has been years since it has had sand or any one play in it. This spring as I was doing some gardening I decided to have Grandpa move the old sand box. WE filled it with top soil and I planted flowers in it. It is filled with a beautiful variety of colorful flowers. I look out of my new windows and enjoy the beautiful flowers every day. It brings much joy into my life.

There is a lesson to be learned from that old sand box. We will all have different callings and opportunities in a life time. One time we might be a Bishop or Relief Society President and the next year the only calling we might have is visiting or home teacher. There are different rolls for each of us in a life time and none are more important than another, just different. Did the sand box bring me greater happiness than the blower box? No! Just different.

Remember throughout your life that sometimes you will be a "sand box" and other times you might be a "flower box" but neither is more important than the other.

Love forever and always, Grandma

Ton-Ta-Dah!!!

The bag pipes are offically assembled! No I can't play them they are still missing a few minor details like...drone reeds, but the out sides are complete! I'm working on the bag covers today. I'll have a plaid one and a fancy one with fringe. Fringe OOOOOOOO! Cool I know. I'm still going to brng them. I can play them but it will sound funny with out all the reeds and plus I'm not very good...at all. See everyone soon!

The "mighty missionary" returns

We have had a wonderful day today. Keith got home this morning a little before 11:00 o'clock. He had lots of family there to see his return. Mom, Dad, Marisa, Mikey, Marshall, Nancyann, Joseph, Hyrum, Lilly, Grandma and Grandpa Adams, Aunt Ann, Grandma and Grandpa Willis, Aunt Susan, Scottie, Stephen, Kelli and Aleena Lopez. He seemed well adjusted. I guess a 35 hour return trip must have some refining power (or maybe it was the two years of full time dedicated service to the Lord).

We took him in to the stake presidents office to get released and had the good fortune of being in the office as a family when he got released and shared his testimony. That was a powerful testimony (not a dry eye in the room, not even president Thedell's). Then we went in to the High Council room and listened to his report to the High Council. At the conclusion of his report he was asked to bear his testimony in Chinese. We didn't understand a single word he said (well, except for "Amen" at the end), but the spirit was strong and we felt his testimony even if we didn't know exactly what he was saying.

After his report we came home, stopped at the grocery store and got Ice cream (we saw Justin, Marie, and David at the grocery store). Then everyone celebrated with a big bowl of Ice cream.

AHHHH, What a fun day!!!

This daddy is one happy papa.

He who was once a child, is now a man...

HUGE NEWS!!! I would like everyone to know that today, after four months of strenuous work, our baby, Little Baby Garry, the sweetest darling of cuteness, Most Honorable King Garry the Third, smartest of babies......... sprouted his first tooth! I'm so proud of him!

Strange, isn't it? I never thought it was that neat when my sisters' kids got a tooth. I thought, "hmm. That's nice. A tooth." Now I find myself bursting with pride because it was MY little angel who did something so momentous and life-changing as producing a tooth. All of a sudden he is some prodigy or something. Just think of the things he can do! Oh the places he'll go, oh the people he'll meet, oh the garbage he'll eat...(Let's not kid ourselves, every baby I've seen has had a strange affinity for eating trash off of the floor. I don't expect my child to be any different.) Especially since he acts so much like his father. Speaking of which, did you know that Garry ate a piece of pizza that had been out ALL NIGHT once? Isn't that the most vile and dangerous thing you've ever HEARD OF?! I tried to stop him. I was sure he would die from food poisoning. I was like, "GARRY! DON'T!!!!!!!" And he didn't listen. No, he sure didn't. But I digress.....

Anyways, I just wanted to shout to the world the wonderful news of my son's genius. You will all surely be hearing a lot from me from now on....I'm positive that he has many more wonderful things to do which will further prove his superior intellect. Things like crawling and eating bugs and conquering the world. Adieu!

-The Sheri & Garry Adams

p.s. I shall post a picture. I wanted to get a "Day of the First Tooth" picture, but he was displeased with me when I pulled out the camera tonight. Thus, I will put a picture we took two days ago up, even though you can't see his marvelous pearly white quite yet.

The Music Man

The Music Man is over. We had our last show last night. It was tons of fun. I made tons of friends. and most of the good friends I made are LDS. Which was a little weird for me trying out for a show at ISU and having a lot og LDS people in the cast. The constable is an institute teacher, his wife was Mrs. Paroo. They were a lot of fun. I'm glad it's over and I'm kinda sad. But that also means we only have a week and a couple days till we're in MO. We can't waite. We love you, see everybody soon!
