growing and growing

Ok we got a few more smileing pictures. Lydia is now 4 months, she can roll really good and she scoots around in a circle on her belly. That is new. And she is starting to giggle a lot and talka lt more too. It's fun. Mark and I have been working on our music and we have added several songs to what we can play and are getting pretty good, we'll have to play for everyone when we come in a week and a half.

Oh and in the last picture you can kind of see her fuzz...oh and Mark was not shoving his finger down her throat, she found it with her mouth and started sucking, it was all her.

Baths

The trip to Missouri was way fun. It was a great vacation. (In a "I slept most of the time" sort of way.) Back to Mothering duties today. I have a cold.

After changing a particularly nasty diaper, (most every diaper is particularly nasty nowadays) I realized that baby Garry was in terrible need of a bath. Being the economical person that I am, I ran to start the tub before I put on his new diaper. See, this was a particularly stupid move on my part, as the baby chased me. He always chases me. Why didn't I think he would chase me? I'm an idiot.

Anyways, I turn around from starting the water to see him standing in the bathroom doorway wizzing all over the floor. (There's something about seeing bath water that makes him wizz, I don't know why.) Knowing my own foolishness had gotten me into this predicament, I laughed. You know, in a "chuckle chuckle but I can handle a little bit of wizz" sort of way. The situation ceased to be amusing when he walked over and started dancing in his potty-puddle whilst wearing his socks. Yuck. Still, I'm a soldier, we soldiers can handle soaking potty-socks.

Bath time proceeded uneventfully, ending with mommy committing the unforgivable sin of washing the baby's hair. (It's okay, I'm used to being the bath-time-bad-guy.)

I dried him off and went to get a diaper. Then the raisin happened. I've discovered that most of the world's unfortunate occurrances begin with raisins. Whose idea were raisins anyway? Seriously. So he found a raisin on the floor in the bedroom. I arrived just in time to see my little butt-naked baby squatting down to retrieve the delicious raisin (He'd spilled a whole box of them this morning.) Time moved in slow motion, I see a stream of wizz wetting the carpet in front of said raisin. Then, he stands. And, in abject horror, I see something I had hoped never to see in my life. My son had left me a couple of choice presents while he was retrieving his raisin. It was disgusting. Nasty. Awful. At this point I threw in the towel and phoned daddy to request his immediate return from work. Soldier that I am, I retrieved his little gifts all by myself, and disposed of them properly. But seriously, what was that boy THINKING?! Sheesh. You think you know a person....

3 months down...6 to go!

Well, I haven't posted in a while so I figured our baby deserved a post. I went to the doctor today and everything is going great. Now all I have to do is figure out where I'm going to have it (I vote english speaking Missouri!).

Name that toy

We need a name for the 6 wheeler so everyone send in your ideas. Grandpa and Jayse got it running again this afternoon and thought I should go with them for a ride. We started down the hill and it died and wouldn't start again. Just as we were about to get out and walk back to the house it started rolling down the hill, that was exciting because there aren't any brakes and we were headed stright for the lake. Jayse jumped out to try and stop it just as it ran in to a hole. Are we having fun yet? They are down there now trying to pull it back with the tractor. So when you send your ideas for a name for that bucket of bolts don't send any profainity. (I have already thought of a few choice names that a nice Latter-day Saint lady shouldn't use.) :)

Fun Pictures!

Grandpa and Lindy in the kitchen.

oops, got this one twice :)

Jamie (holding Taylor) Lindy, Carolann, and Jewellyn making cookies in Grandma's kitchen. Well, Lindy was making cookies, the others were just anxious for the cookies to be made.

Grandpa, Mike, Jayse and Dale, after the 6 wheelere died in the field.

LaDawn and Alan at seminary graduation. (He's a keeper!)

Well I know that this is not my news but some of you wont hear otherwise.
My little sister LaDawn is officially engaged to Alan Moak. We all love him to death and we are so excitd. He is a really great guy. (He actually lives in justin and I's little out building right now)

Another "no picture" post

Great news for all you fun loving kids out there. Grandpa finally got the 6 wheeler running. (after 3 years!) He hasn't tried it out on the water yet, I think he is going to let some of you kids be the first to take it on the lake - just in case it doesn't float:) He took me for a ride in it and I'll have to tell you it rivals anything at Lagoon or Silver Dollar City for a bumpy, jerky ride! I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow. Maybe we will have it ready for rides tomorrow at the bonfire.

Graduation Night

Here is a picture with Lindy and LaDawn at graduation. It was a long evening, especially since the girls were at the beginning. You can pick LaDawn out in the front row with her shoes, and Lindy is in the row right behind her.

Sunrise Smiles

Well Xander is going to be 2 months old tomorrow. I can't believe it! And he is just the happiest little dude on the earth....as long as he's being held. This morning we had non-stop smiles. He's smiled before but not this much. This time I had my camera ready. I couldn't decide which one's I wanted cause they're all to funny and cute! So you get to see all of them. They all make me laugh. And the last one is of Xander on the couch yesterday. It's pretty cute too.

Solid Food!

Well Lydia will be 4 months in a little over a week so we broke out the baby food yesterday. I didnt give her a whole lot, I basicly just let her taste it. She had Mixed veggies, and I dont think she liked them, what do you think? She did really good though. She never fussed or screamed or even spit them out. She ate everything I gave her, but She didnt really know what to think. It was fun for Mark and I at least. :)

She started giggeling for real this week. Actually just 2 days ago, it was kind of an over night thing, one day nothing and the next day she giggles. So I'll try and get some good smileing pictures of her this week, but Sunday isnt a good day for pictures, afternoon church is hard. espically whe she is very popular, she spends all her energy being cute for people at church and then she is so tired when she comes home.

She is getting big too, she wore a 6 month out fit today and it fit her great. And we need to get her more onesies cause she only has 5 that fit her now, we cant even squeeze her into ther 0-3 month ones any more. they are all offically retired. What a big girl! With big thighs! :)
Oh and she can roll back on to her back now too, she is still kinda slow at that though, but she is really quick at rolling onto her tummy.

no computer

Well, since marshall and I have moved into town, we don't really have the internet at our disposal. Honestly, I really miss being able too see what everyone is up to. I miss everyone. I went up to Randy and Sadie Grout's wedding yesterday. It was really nice to go to the temple again. And it was really cool because Jewelyn was there too. It was tons of fun. But that's about all that's up with us. Oh yesterday they said who ever made the first sale got $20, and marshall made the first sale! Yeppie! So he gets $20.

Bad, bad morning

Fortunately for all of us I don't have a picture to post but I have a really bad morning to tell you about. I went down in my sewing room this morning to finish up a project I'm working on. I thought something smelled strange so I ask Grandpa to check it out, thinking it might be a mouse in one of the traps. Well, it wasn't a mouse, it was a big black snake in my storage room. His tail was caught in the mouse trap but he was still alive. Needless to say, I'm not doing any more sewing today. (maybe never!)

John Baby

Sorry about that last post. I accitdently pushed enter and it posted it and I dont know how to delete it.
So David only ever calls Taylor "Bebe" or Baby. No matter how hard we try we can not get him to say Taylor. The other day Glenda told him "Say Tay" and he said "Tay" so she said "Say lor", and he said lor. Both words clear as day. Then she said "Now say Taylor" and he replies "It's da bebe" It was really funny but yesterday he beat that.
I was teaching him the names of the prophets and I would have him say each of thier names one word at a time. Well I was teaching him John Taylor and he said John then I said say Taylor, and he quickly replied "Bebe" So David now thinks that one of our prophets was named John Baby. He really keeps us on our feet but he keeps us laughing just as hard.
Taylor is sweet as can be and a huge blessing after such a rumbuncshis (or how ever the heck you spell that) little guy. She now smiles for us all the time. She even talks to you sometimes. I love being a mom and a wife I would never ask for a better job. (not that it isnt the hardest job or that I am very good at it) I could tell you a lot more stories about David but that one was the freshest on my mind and made me laugh the hardest. I am sure you will hear a lot more.

P.S. Happy Mother's Day!

Julie and I wanted to say Happy Late Mother's Day to young and old. We thought we would share a picture of our favorite mother! We love you mommy! PS you know who to blame if we end up missing!

Seniors are CRAZY!!!!

Well, today was the last day of school for all of the seniors at Willard. The day started out with our principal going into his office to find it covered in 2, 007 ping pong balls. Then during first lunch (I have 2nd and wasn't there) they started a food fight. Because of the time spent on cleaning up the messes, 2nd and 3rd lunch were only like 15 minutes long. It was nuts. Everyone who wasn't there was talking about it and how they wished they HAD been there, but I don't know, I prefer NOT to be covered in mac and cheese, fish sticks, cooked and gooey cinnamon apple slices, and rolls. Someone said that it smelt terrible....big surprise. I also saw this guy who had put his extremely long hair straight up alfalfa style, but Mr. Ramsey, one of the assistant principals made him fold it over so that it was more like a badly done pony tail. Then one of my friends said that the same guy and some of his friends had used the shopping carts and props from the theatre to joust with each other. What would we do without seniors?

Cool School Project

Well since no one has poasted in a few days, and Mike now doesn't have time to post anything, I'll tell you whats going on with him at school. Mike is going to the "Aviation Institute of Maintenance" or AIM. He is becoming an Aeronautical Engineer.
The school decided it would be great for the studants to actually build a plane from the ground up. They decided that each school (8 schools to be exact) is going to construct a single engine aircraft from WWI. Each plane is to be life size and needs to be able to fly. Then at the end of this year, they're going to get all the schools together and fly their planes. They will then test the planes individually and as a group to see how they preform. The schools aircraft with the best overall performance is awarded a trophy and $100,000 for the school.
They're going to do the compitition at the headquarters in Virginia beach. The top 5 students who worked on the plane the most get to fly there and back for free.
Yeah when Mike told me I thought it was stinkin' cool. What do you think?

Kody Graduates!

So I can't figure out how to make the pictures go right-side-up so just deal with it. Anyway, Kody graduated from school last Saturday. And if you can believe it, picture number 3 it was snowing outside! Crazy weather! He graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in chemistry oh not to mention he graduated as a magna cum laude (meaning my little smarty graduated with a 3.8)! And the cake was really cool because it was made out of cupcakes, what a novel idea!

Have it Your Way!

Well today Daddy didn't have school, so we decided to go look for a new gun holster for mike. We were at the gun shop so long that Mikey started to get hungry. So we decided to eat out...any place that wasn't expensive. On our way home there was a burger King. We were going to go through the drive through, but it was really hot, & we thought it would be nice to get some cool air.

Mikey absolutly loved it. We got him a Chicken nugget Kids meal with apple juice. And by some fluke, he got 2 toys. He was definatly sticking with their motto and having it his way. He ate all of his food by himself. He even drank the whole juice box without help.

The rest of these pictures are just of Mikey around the house. He is getting into everything.
We always take a walk around the complex, at least one a day.

This was after Xander's blessing on sunday, just after everyone left. We didn't get a picture of him in his blessing outfit, cause he pooed in it right after we sat down from his blessing. So he spent the rest of church in his blanket.

And to be fair, here is a picture of just Xander, he is so cute!

Makenzie is growing to fast!!!

kenzie loves it when mark plays the harmonica for her. it can make her stop crying no matter what.mark's mom got her a piano and she loves it. she sits on it and pretends she is a big girl.
Last night she was completely asleep in my arms, so i went to go lay her down in her crib...later we went in there to check on her..and she wasn't so asleep any more but she still had that blanket on her head. so of course we took lots of pictures and i had to share them with you guys. and most of all show you that she is pulling herself up now. and she is crawling everywhere. it is so fun to watch her grow.
She is just so cute i cant hardly stand it!!!

BonFire Info

When is everyone getting to MO? Josh and I are coming in on the 23rd and leaving on the 28th. Grandma wants to have a bonfire, like in the good ole days with everyone but we need to coordinate when we are going to do it and when it will be best for everyone so we can all see eachother at least once with all the hectic things going on.

Thanks

I just thought I would let everyone know how awesome of a family we have. Most (if not all) of you know that things haven't exactly been going that great for me lately. I just wanted to let everyone know how grateful I am for our family. I don't think that I would be able to get through this without you all. I really don't know what I would do without you guys. Thanks for being there for me. I love you all!

Fun Morning

Well, I have no pictues to post but thought you might like to know what our morning was like... notice the color? We were all seeing a bit red in our neiborhood this morning. Last night someone went up and down the whole street, and even into Jim's appartment complex and down the alley and slashed tires JUST FOR FUN! We all woke up this morning (meaning everyone in the neiborhood) to have a fun change your tire and see if your spear has a flat party. This was not my idea of a fun party.. but Thomas thought it was a good excuse to skip school.. actually he comes up with a lot of those!
GRRRRR!!!!!

He's at it.... AGAIN!!!

Well, Garry went in for stitches again today... for the second time. He's only had his last ones out for a week or so. This time he tripped and fell into my computer chair. I don't know how he does it, but at this rate, he'll be a regular Frankenstein's monster by the time he's 2. This one's right in the middle of his forehead. We thought that the last one wouldn't be a big deal even if it scarred, because it is in his eyebrow. Not this time. It's as plain as you can get. He's doing well. I think he's got a really high pain tolerance. It makes him scream more to be held down, than it does to get his head split open. The nurses at the instacare were funny. They commented on his screeches. "Well, his scream sure isn't like anything we've heard before!" They said. "It's almost like bird chirping, but not as pretty." For those of you who've experienced his "screeches" you'll know exactly what we mean. Anyway, all is well again and hopefully we can stay out of the hospital for a few more weeks at least.
