Welcome to Puerto Rico Matt

Well Matt got to go to the Puerto Rico beach for the first time Saturday since he was born anyway:) he loved the sand and really loved eating the sand we sat him down and he just started shoveling it in no matter what we did! he didn't quite know what to think about the water though with all those waves:) so we took him to a much cleaner swimming pool he loved that. He even went off the waterslide( of course he didnt really know what to think of that)

Hunter is 11

Hunter had is 11th birthday Wednesday. Terriann and Wes, Rachelle and Taylor, Grandma and Grandpa Adams, and Grandmother Wilkins came over to celebrate with dinner and presents. We missed Shanell who is a little far away to drop in, and Sydnie and Todd who were both at work. It was fun. Here are a couple of pics of Hunter.
Hunter was opening his presents - Wes thought the bag was a lot of fun!
Hunter and Weston had to go bring the horses home from the neighbors - the horses thought it would be fun to go visiting. :(

Military addresses

We have our missionaries addresses, but we don't have our servicemen's addresses. Janet and Ann, if you want to get me their addresses I'll be happy to post them on the blog with our missionaries. (that includes Keith's address in Iraq, not just Nickle's)

Keith failed to mention.....

He wants people to post their comments. Don't forget...people who post things don't know you've read their post unless you make a comment. That's half the fun! So as a general rule...if you read a post...comment on it:D

China!

Wow, I'm having a blast here! Today just so happens to be one of the 3 biggest Chinese hollidays, Mid-Autum Festival. In Taiwan, they have bar-b-q and eat moon cakes and look at the moon. Here in mainland China, however, they don't do the bar-b-q thing, so there really isn't a whole lot going on. But at least we don't have school tomorrow! Which makes this a 4 day weekend (we never have school on Friday). It's hard to think of which stories I want to tell, because there are so many. One thingwe have talked about though is that even though there are a whole lot of cultural differences, China really isn't too differen't in a lot of ways from anywhere else in the world. People are still people. But there have been some fun experiences. One of the coolest things is that Nanjing is a city that is a couple of thousand years old. I just think it's amazing. it was the capital city of China for about 1000 years, off and on, mostly durring the Ming dynasty. That would be from the mid 1300's to the mid 1600's, for those of you who aren't Chinese history enthusiasts. And the founder of modern China was burried here. We went to his mosuleum this weekend, it was pretty cool. I posted the pictures that I have taken on facebook, so here's a link to those if you would like to see them...

Anyway, I love you all, and hope everything is going well on the other side of the world!

Nickle thought she wanted to take her first swim too. The last picture shows she wasn't too exicted about that.

Happy Birthday Keith and Janet

Well, that is one way to remember your wife's birthday. Marry a girl with the same birthday as yours. (somehow I think Grandpa would still forget) I hope it is a happy one even if you have to be apart.

One Whole Week

We have been in our new place for one whole week now, and it feels great! We are in Nixa now and if you aren't quite sure where that is, it's just a short jont south of Springfield. We love it too. It's not quite as big as Pocatello is, but it's big enough (both are much smaller than Springfield)
As for the Apartment we really love it too. It's the perfect size right now and it's the newest apartment we have ever lived in which means no lead paint on the walls and nothing is falling apart. We don't have as much storage as we use to, but we have shelving we can put up. Before we put up all this shelving though, we are going to go through all our stuff and get rid of junk we have been lugging around for the past 4 1/2 years that we don't need or never use. That way we arent putting up shelving for junk collecting.
We like our neighbors too :) We live above my cousin Kelli (Kowacich) Lopez and her husband James. And our kids are good friends. We have 1:00 shurch now, so hopefully we will get use to that before the year is up. I'm trying to get Lydia to take a nap, but she isn't. she is just in her crib.
we still have boxes everywhere, but Lydias room is completly put together, and so is teh living room, and the Kitchen. so our hosue is liveable, and we are getting there. It won't be completly liveable till I start going through our random boxes getting rid of stuff, but it will happen before too long. It dosent take me long to get sick of lookign at cluttery boxes :)

Happy Birthday Glenda

Happy 17th birthday to Glenda. It isn't until tomorrow (the 3rd) but I'll be in St. Louis at the temple. I can't believe how old all of my grandbabies are!

Fun Fun

Wes and Matt are still having lots of fun together. Matt got a new toy that both boys can play with at once. Matt just sits down and lets Wes push him around and they both think it is a blast!
