Phone call from Paula

We got to talk to Paula today. She got to make a short phone call. She tried Keith but his phone was on silence. Sad day for Keith!! But we had a fun visit even though it was pretty short. She is flight leader and she is doing great. She said to tell everyone to make sure her address is correct on letters. She has had to many with incorrect address and they have threatened to recycle her if it didn't stop. The address here on the blog is correct. She loves all the mail and she sounds great. She misses the family. She has had many opportunities to be and influence for good and has made some very good friends.

We Found a Place!

And it's AWESOME!! We are putting our deposit down on a town house today we will be moving in on Sep 24. It's about a block south of Battlefield and close to Scenic, which is in between West by Pass, and Kansas Expwy.
We love the location cause we are off the beaten path, but we are still close to everything. We are close to family, only 5 to 10 mins away from Marks family, but we are in our own ward. We are 1/2 the distance to Willard that we are now, so we will see everyone more often, our gas will be cut in half each month. AND we will be on the same church schedule as everyone now too, which will make Sunday visits easier.
It's a complex of town houses, so we will have 2 stories. (Lydia loved the stairs) It is bigger then the place we are in now (1100 sq ft) and cheaper then our place now. And we will actually have storage in our house. The ONLY thing we don't like about it is the Kitchen is a little smaller then the one we have now cabinet wise, but we are going to make a unit to rotate our food storage that will fit in the closet, so that will help a lot.
Oh but I haven't got to the BEST part yet. WE get the first months rent FREE, but that's not all, with a good credit score you can qualify to get the second month's rent free also. And guess what, we qualified for the 2nd month free also, which means.....we will use the money we save in Oct and Nov on rent and get a much needed new bed! We have never had a new bed.
can you tell I'm just a little excited about this new place.

First day of school at the Wilkins house. We are down to four going to school at home. We started on August 13 - which was WAY too early!

moving moving moving

We are moving into Springfield at the end of September. That will be nice gas wise...and grocery wise, food 4 less is SO much cheaper then wal mart here in Nixa. We think we found a place we like. We are going to go look at it Monday and if we really like it then we will give them our deposit and make it official. So if that happens on Monday I will post and let you know exactly where it is. We really really like the location, so I hope we like the inside just as much. I'm excited about changing locations, however not excited about the moving process.

Well, I swore it was a boy. But I really wanted a girl but felt bad about it cause I just knew I was having another boy. Lucky me I am having another princess. We have no clue on names if you have any post them and we might think about it.

Update from Paula

Instead of posting everything twice, I'm just going to post it on my blog. But I got a letter from Paula today! I posted it on facebook and then on my blog too. So if you would like to know how she's doing, go to either place and read for yourself!

Imaginary Friends

Lydia has tons of imaginary friends. She kinda cycles through them. All of her Aunts and Uncles, and some of her cousins, grandmas, and grandpas, movie characters. She also has her kids (which mostly she punishes them, instead of playing with them) and "the girls".
Although some of her imaginary friends are now visible. They have taken on a tangible form...and she has several.
JOHN: A soccer ball...not just ANY soccer ball though, just her blue one. He is her best friend. She takes him potty, give's him baths, cuddles with him to go to sleep, plays with him, kisses him good night, and he even kisses her owies better.
JOHN BABY: a little red play ball with white polka dots on it. Sometimes tags along with John, but not always.
SNAKE: a little red hair ribbon
HER MAN: The blue couch pillows. ...I don't know where that came from...
EDWARD: (prince Edward from Enchanted) He is the front door. Not just any door, only our front door...I wonder if he will come with us when we move... She flirts with Edward all the time. One day she woke up from her nap, pranced out of her room (literally pranced) and went up to "Edward" and "hugged" him. "Hegward, I'm so glad to see you!" then she leaned in and gave him a kiss (which her foot popped up for) then she sighed. She is in love you see.
ASELL: (Giselle from Enchanted) She is her yellow heart blanket, her favorite blankie. Giselle is what Lydia bases all princesses off. When something is beautiful it has something to do with Giselle. (she hasn't really seen any of the Disney princess movies)
I'd love to peek into that little mind of hers just to see what is going on in there. :)

Joseph's Bike

I'm sure a lot of you have heard about Joseph's new bike. He worked as a lifeguard all summer long at the Willard Pool and saved up his money just so he could buy this bike from one of his friends. He loves it and rides it all the time. The day after he got it all the family went outside to take turns riding it. Joseph took me first, then Hyrum, and then Dad took the bike himself. Then Mom and Lilly came out, so Dad took Lilly for a spin. She was excited, but really scared (as you can see from her face, hehe). Anyway, we all had a blast with it, and I just figured I'd share the pictures with everyone. :)

August birthdays

Happy late birthday to Ashley on the 9th of Aug and Trevor on the 6th of August. And to Todd on the 18th, and Gentry on the 22nd. Trevor and I were the only August birthday for years, now there are 5 of us. Happy birthday one and all (including me:)

Not sure how much longer Nickle will actually be in Afghanistan.. The word as of right now is they are leaving in October. Mail takes forever there! Usually about a 3-4 weeks or longer to get... He still hasn't received some of the things I have sent so far.

Paula is in Basic Training

Paula would love to hear from everyone that wants to write to her. She left Monday morning and went to Kansas City. Tues. she flew to Lackland AFB. She had a bad day Tuesday. She was sick all day. It was probably nerves more than anything. She was able to call Keith for just a few minutes today and give him her address. She can only write on Sundays. She is going to have Keith post her letters on Facebook. I'm sure she will try to answer as many letters as possible. She cannot receive packages but pictures are fine. She said before she left that she knew she would be fine, but that she was so sad to leave the family. She really feels all alone. She should graduate the first week in Oct.

This happened on Sunday night. The boys were playing in their room and mikey climbed in the bottem shelf in their closet. Xander always wants to do what anyone else is doing so he climbed in the next one up. Daddy walked in their room and said, "Wifey! I found a perfect picture!!" so we set gavin in the top and this is what we came out with. I think they're white shirts look really cute. I was just mad that I forgot to change some of the settings on my camera. So It diddnt turn out as well as it could have but its still pretty dang cute! Love those boys!
