For those of you who don't know...

Well I don't know who knows and who doesn't, but I figure it's about time I opened my mouth and said something. We are expecting baby #3 in May. I'm 18 weeks, almost 1/2 way (about 4 months). We are pretty sure it's a girl, but I wont get an ultrasound till toward the end of my pregnancy cause I had to have one early to make sure everything was fine. (which it was) And that basically took the place of the ultrasound they would have done in the next 2 weeks to find out what we are having. If it's a girl her name will be Arisa Raquel.
Lydia will NOT accept the possibility of having a boy. She already talks about sharing a room with Arisa, and she made a bed for her in her room yesterday. She is cute, I hope we don't disappoint her. :)

Shanell, SNOW, and other cuteness.

Shanell came to visit me for a week!  It was so GREAT to have her here after not seeing her for so long.  We mainly worked on wedding stuff, but we also took some time to see the church sites in Palmyra (just 30 minutes from us) and see some other things here around Rochester.
Outside a homemade candy shop on park avenue (Grandma's is better)
Wes and I in the sacred Grove
It started snowing the day she got here, and hasn't really stopped since!

Wes and Ty today just hanging out.
Ty at 8 weeks!

WEDDING!

FYI - for those of you who haven't heard, Shanell is getting married December 30, 2010 in the St. Louis temple at 11:00 to Logan Dunn.  We are sending out announcements - but they are still in the process of getting out :)  They are setting up a blog (still in the process too) http://www.loganandshanell.com/

Christmas Around the World Update

Well, I was misinformed about BYU-tv airing my performance.  Sadly, I won't be dancing on TV.  But!  Unlike last year, they said that we should be able to buy a copy of the performance, probably in January or February, whenever they finish putting it all together.  So, that means even if you aren't able to come watch me dance this Friday or Saturday (which would be most of you) you can still eventually see my performance!  Yay!  When I eventually do get that copy of the show, I'll see what I can do to get my dance put up online so you don't have to wait for me to come home with the dvd.

He's an Adams alright

Danton has inherited the Adams sweet tooth. all he ever wants is CANDY. And since Halloween we have pretty much always had some in the house, AND he ALWAYS knows where it is. Even when I move it, he figures out where it is, even when I HIDE it, he figures out where it is. (not that I hid it very well) He is always asking for "camney", or cookies, or a treat, or a snack. And by snack he means fruit snack. I dodn't usually buy fruit snacks, but I have learned I need to keep them on hand cause when I have to make a trip to the store, especially when getting ANY type of food I can't keep him off of it unless I have a food distraction. So I usually stuff my pockets with candy or fruit snacks when we go to the store.
***On a good note, at least he LOVES to brush his teeth :)

simple childrens prayers

Lydia says the prayers more often then any one else in our family. She does a great job. Sometimes she gets to repetitious and either Mark or I will prompt her. We have been trying to teach her to remember to thank Heavenly Father for blessings and not just ask for things all the time. If she forgets to thank him for blessings Mark will step in and say simply "We thank thee..." and we let her continue on her own.
A couple days ago Lydia was saying the blessing when she forgot to be thankful. Daddy says "we thank thee.."
"We thank thee.." Lydia followed with a slight pause (no doubt looking around for something to be thankful for) "for Danton's baby wipes, so that we can clean his hands." And then she finished the prayer.
We praised her for thinking of something on her own and doing a good job with the prayer and I smiled and turned to Mark and said "you know I am VERY grateful for baby wipes, and I don't think I have ever thought to say that" :)
I just love the pure simple hearts of children. And I am truly grateful for baby wipes. :)

Christmas Around the World

I know most of you aren't even in Utah, much less the Provo area, but if anyone just so happens to be in or near Provo around December 3rd or 4th, you really should come to Christmas Around the World.  I'm going to be dancing in it again this year.  It's sure to be a great show!  The tickets range from $25 (right on the floor) to $12 (nose bleed and sides), but the optimal seats (right in the middle) are $15.  I've heard rumors that they are actually going to be broadcasting the performance on BYUTV, but I'm really not sure about that, when I know about that for sure, I'll let everyone know.  Anyway, tickets go on sale on Monday and the best seats get snatched up pretty quick.  Anyway, yay Christmas!

Rome and Florence

There is so much History in Rome. They only have two subway lines and it is because every time they dig they find new artifacts and have to stop:) The story I could tell and that why my blog is so long right now. I learned so much in Rome. The Romans were so smart and it makes me wonder how advance our world would be if they were still in power. Yes, they were not good but they were smart!!

First is Florence I have to show Grandma this picture because I think it is funny!!
In the Cathedral you couldn't go in wearing shorts shorts or tank tops. basically you had to be modest or you had to wear this:)
Here is Florence main Cathedral
This is a court that they sell merchandise and it same way that they did back thousands of years ago. It reminded me kind of like when Christ came and cast the people out for selling in the temple. Italy totally made the Scriptures come to life for me... there is so much history

Rome: Colosseum
St. Peter Basilica: We went to were they claim Peter was buried. I thought it was really cool... just the thought of thinking I am walking on ground that Apostle in Christ day walked
This is a Romulean huts that is dated back 725BC
And me in front of Palatine Hill

Venice

I'm getting behind on putting picture of my trip up... I just need to get it done. And so much has gone on this summer. I spent Sunday through Wednesday down in Salt Lake to help Tiney and Karter. So my mom wouldnt have to take a ton of time off work. Karter is a such a cutie.... I ask Tine if I could take him home and she said no.. How Rude:)
So here is picture of Venice, Italy. This was my favorite place out of all the places we visited. Italy is amazing and I will try to hurry and get Rome on here to:)
This is my first view of Venice. Right outside the train station. I was in Heaven... it is exactly how I picture it would be:)
Gondola Ride
The Canals
The Palazzo Ducale
Every day we were there, San Marco flooded. One of the Local guys told us that under the foundation is wood, which of course over time it is warped. since it has been under there for over thousands of years. so with the tides being high it has no were to escape with no draining system because the wood moving the foundation, blocked the original draining system....

Super fun

At the beginning of the week Brandon Craven was over here and we had a birthday party for him. After the cake and ice cream we went out in the backyard and played on the trampoline. Joseph was throwing mikey REALLY high into the air and he was yelling cause it scared him, but then he kept asking Joseph to do it. We decided it looked like he was flying so we gave him a dishtowel cape and got some WAY fun pictures. These are just snapshots of mikey tossed in the air. No photoshop here.

this is the intro to the rally, Glen Beck talks about the the Lamenites in The Book of Mormon as though everyone there beleives it. It was awesome by far my favorite part of the rally.

Restoring Honor

We just got home from the Restoring Honor Rally in Washington DC. I am so glad that we went, the trip was perfect and so enjoyable. Mom watched the David and Taylor for us and we took off with Millie. I just posted a bunch of pictures on FB and the Keith Adams family blog if you want to see them. But I also posted this :I want to make it clear to everyone, you may not see me out and about restoring honor to our country but I promise you, I am doing my part each day by staying home and teaching my children what Honor is and how important that it is to have. I personally beleive there is not a better place to restore honor to our country then from the home. This is how I feel and I plan to raise one of the great leaders of tomorrow. (it may not be in our country or for a large amount of people but I hope they will be honorable leaders, wherever they lead).

just lately...

Last night when we went up stairs to go to bed Mark turned on the bathroom light and found this:Funny huh. But the funnier part is that is not totally unusual. But usually it's in the middle of the night that she goes in there. My guess is she wakes up and out of habit she gets up to go to the bathroom, even though she doesn't really need to go. She lifts up the seat and then since she is tired she lays down and waits for me to come help her go potty. She doesn't need my help to go potty any more, but she thinks she needs help at night. Thing is, when she doesn't really need to go potty she doesn't wake me up. So she just lays there in the bathroom and goes back to sleep.
Danton just turned 18 months last week. YAY nursery! He has been sitting on the potty every so often for the last couple weeks, and he finally figured it out. He asked to go potty last night before bed, his diaper was dry so I figured eh, why not. And after about 30 seconds he went pee on the potty for the first time. But notice I said ON not IN. He was surprised when it hit his hand and leg. ha ha. We adjusted the aim and it's a good thing too cause he wasn't quite done. Yay, he did it! Thus begins the long and dreaded process.....
As for the family as a whole our lease is up end of next month and we found a 3 bed room HOUSE for the same rent we are paying for our two bed room town house in Willard 2nd ward boundaries but still in Springfield. Nice huh! We are so excited about it.
