New baby girl

OK, SOME of us don't post on the main family blog so we will have to go to the Keith Adams family blog to see the pictures of Carolann and Mark's new baby girl. She is so pretty!

Wilkins Family Happenings

It's been busy around the Wilkins house lately. Sydnie was elected Miss Merry Christmas on the 8th then Weston and Caroll flew out to SLC for Shanell's Graduation. Graduation went great, then we packed up Shanell's life from the last 2 years - stuffed it in every nook and crannie in her car, and drove home through a snow storm. We were definitely glad when we finally pulled into our driveway Sunday morning.

Write to our missionaries

Everyone needs to take time to get a Christmas card off to our missionaries. Sheri has their address on the front page of this blog so we don't have any excuse for not sending them a little Christmas message.

I am working on my 12 days of Christmas. I'm sure you are all holding your breath until they arrive.

To bad it isnt good News

This is during the clean up.

Well, I never post anything because nothing exciting ever happens to us....well I cant say that anymore.

Last Sunday at 5:00am (yes, I was asleep in my bed) I was rudely awakened by a loud crashing. As I awoke to see a car flying right past my bed, threw the bedroom wall, right into the other bedroom. I began scream for Trevor, not that he wasnt awake by that point. We both jumped out of our room running for Jarvis and the phone. Funny thing is, I dont remember stepping over the dresser and and bricks and everything else. I just had one thing in my mind....Jarvis. Jarivs was sound asleep....I ended up waking him up from grabbing him in fear. While all this was going on we could hear a car trying to start over and over, once the car had started we could hear the tires and the rest the car trying to get out. (Our house smelt bad of burnt tire at this time) By the time I had got Jarvis and a coat and went outside to see what was going on the drunk had taken off. Dont ask me how he got his car out, or even running. There was fuel about 3 or 4 feet into the house.(We later found out he had hit another car a little down the road and took off on foot)

Few days later we found out that the guy reported his car stollen 8 hours later. They have no proff that he was driving.

As I was saying in the Keith Adams blog....God blessed my little family so much that night. We are alive and not hurt. I love you all and am glad to be a witness of how much or father in heaven is looking out for each of us.

There is more picture on Keith Adams family blog for anyone who wants to see.

Wonderful Family

I just want to say that I am so very glad I am part of such a wonderful, talented, super smart family. I can't tell you how many times I've been helped out of a crazy situation because I have such a wonderful family. My most recent experience with this was this past weekend. My computer has been acting funny and turning off on me. Well, Saturday it did it and wouldn't reboot. I was frantic thinking of ALL the pictures and files and tax info on my computer that I, of course, hadn't bothered to back up . . . yet. Well, thanks to Garry the - hm - middle, I am now back on the computer and busily putting all my important files on discs. Ann had the disc I needed to repair my hard drive (thanks to Garry again). I called Garry and he walked me through the procedure to get everything back and running. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Family is AWESOME!!!!!

Someone from the Keith Adams family needs to post Jewellyn's news. I would but I'm sure I would get it all mixed up. Marie, I guess it's up to you, you are the only one from your family that ever posts.

Thanksgiving Gingerbread Houses

We had a blast putting gingerbread houses together today. They were all very unique. It was fun to watch them being built, and the creative things they came up with for their own houses.

Wes Lately

Ok...so I haven't posted on this blog since we've been here and since we are almost ready to leave I guess I should at least show you some pics. I posted more on our own blog, but here are a few!

Lindy is 20

Lindy's birthday was yesterday. She is no longer a teenager. I can't believe it. She spent the evening with us and went to Jayse's basketball meet the squad night. We had a fun evening.

Basektball Season

Basketball is upon us. We had the "Meet the Squad" night last night.

Look out TX here we come!

Well Mike has decided to accept the job offer in Greenville TX. He'll be working for L3 communications fixing/updating jets. I don't know much, but he'll be working for the government I think. So me not knowing much is probably going to be the standard. :D I had no idea how dangerous this job was...it makes since though....those engines are pretty powerful. If all goes to plan, we'll be moved by beginning to mid January.

Deer Season

It is Deer Season in Missouri. Taylor was over here hunting with Weston this morning and he got his first Buck (I'm thinking his first deer at all, but not sure). I said I'd post a couple of pictures.

80's Skating

Well, for FHE we were planning on going ice skating. We were originally going to have a big group of everyone going, but people started bailing out left and right. So we started calling our Chinese friends. We ended up just having 5 people including one of Brooke's friends. After we finally got down to the road that the rink is on and searched for half an hour without being able to find it, we called them up. Apparently their machine ( I can only assume that they mean their Zamboni) was broken. Greg was feeling kind of sick, so he just went back home, leaving just us 4 that you see in the picture. (from left to right: Matt, me, Brooke, Vanessa) Brook's friend said that she knew where a skating place was. Funny thing. In Chinese, ice skating and just normal skating are the same word... Ok, I just lied. I just looked it up and apparently they are different, but just barely. And what I thought was ice skating apparently means just roller skating. So she took us to a skating rink. It was really small, if you can't tell from the pictures. But it was really funny. Everyone, with few exceptions, were on roller skates, instead of roller blades. The awesome selection of music was also very 80's esk. What made it even better was the decorations on the walls and the lighting. It was great fun. So, just in case anyone was wondering, the 80's are still alive and well in China.

Hair Fun & some other pics

We played with Garry's hair today. I can't decide if it looks cute or silly. Okay okay, it always looks cute to me. I just don't know if it looks silly. Let me know what you think. If you say it looks silly, I promise my feelings won't be hurt, and I won't tell Little Garry (so his feelings are safe too).

And while I'm posting pictures, here are a few recent ones of my bundles of darlingness.

I think this purple chair one is sweet. They love each other.

"Heroes and victims in Prop. 8 struggle"

Orson Scott Card wrote a great article on the backlash seen from the passage of Proposition 8. I enjoyed reading it, if you want to, here is the link:

A few pictures.... Here is the Hawaii temple. Soo beautiful!! Too bad it is closing for a year and a half while we are here. Gentry is getting so big. She will be 3 months soon. Her and Dad are the greatest buds. We definitely would love to have family come stay with us here. hint hint. We miss the closeness of home but paradise is pretty cool.
