Softball

Here are a few pictures of the little guys at their parents softball team. Since Amy and Jamie both play on the team I get to watch them...and we all have a blast. The picture in the upper left corner (you can click to enlarge) is of Wes coming home from the game, he was playing with that plastic bowl and then the next thing we knew he was asleep with it still in his mouth!

Bike Racing

Jayse getting home after the two day race near St. Louis. I know there is a technical term for this type of race, but nobody is nearby to ask...There were three different races, and he placed well in all of them, giving him 2nd place all around.

With his prize of "sparkling" grape juice and metals on the bottle.

Personal Essay

I just finished writing my personal essay for my English class and realized that this is probably my favorite paper that I have ever written. I'm not sure who all would actually be interested in reading it, but I just thought I would share for those of who who are! To read it, click here.

April Fools

So, today was April Fools Day. I didn't do anything, but something started. I got home from school and my apartment looked different. It didn't take long to figure out what was missing. For one, half of the cushions were missing from the couches. There is this really comfy chair that sits in the corner, or did; it too was gone. We (and by 'we', I mean one of my room mates) have a counter-clock (for those of you who have never heard of such a thing, it is a clock that rotates counterclockwise). It too was missing. The oddest thing of all was that we were missing the so-called 'chastity' door. (Chastity Door: The door dividing public area in an apartment with the private areas. Often placed at or on the Chastity Line) Odd, yes, but most of us in my apartment were too lazy to do much of anything about it. I, however, wanted at least one cushion to sit on while using my laptop. So I went over to Apt. 21, the perpetrators, got my foot in the door and after a little talking (not to mention holding one of their cushions hostage) I was able to procure a single cushion of my own to sit on.

This is not the end. There was a ransom note delivered to us. It stated clearly that their demands were a box of Macadamia Nut White Chocolate Chip Cookies, or Orange Creme-Sickles. One roommate went to the store and got just that. Well, just that plus a box of fish sticks. He opened the Creme-Sickles, replaced them with the fish sticks and resealed the box with hot glue. Another roommate and I returned to 21 with the payment in toe. For all of our cushions, we gave them the cookies. After placing the cushions safely behind our own chastity line, we returned for the rest of the stolen goods with two boxes of Fish-Sickles for payment. They unwittingly accepted our bogus payment and we promptly returned home to put our goods safe behind our locked door.

The Exchange

The Getaway

It has been an hour since the exchange and there is no word as of yet of any complaints of our payment. At this point, we assume that our Fish-Sickle treachery will not be discovered until tomorrow. If only I could be there to see the look on their faces when they find we have swindled them!

Little do they know, they have started a war. They have fallen victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against an Adams when prank wars are on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...
